CODITHERM
Coditherm was designed in the R&D Laboratory with the objective of bringing the flexibility and benefits of digital printing - which include clean, eco-friendly operation without using liquid ink or solvents and without emitting fumes or harmful vapours - also to printing codes on industrial products.
By implementing innovative thermal transfer technology, Coditherm can print directly on plastic surfaces, porous materials, irregular substrates, rigid objects or round objects.
Technical features:
Save time and money
Coditherm prints variable data without plates. This allows to start printing straight away. A plate store is no longer needed. Codes are printed on products in real time. The result is immediate and printing is dry and clean: no drying or continuous maintenance needed.
Long-lasting printing quality
Coditherm ensures high definition printing results for barcodes, logos and any alphabet. The print can withstand frequent washing and is resistant to scratches, rubbing and external elements, such as oil, petrol or alcohol.
Flexibility
Coditherm is ideal for marking variable data on small batches (dates, progressive or regressive numeric sequences, texts, lists of ingredients, barcodes, 2D codes, logos). A wide range of thermal ribbons are available in an array of colours for all applications.
Simple to use
The device implements an integrated electronic unit and touchscreen for adjusting printing parameters or editing data retrieved directly from the memory of the device, from a USB flash drive or a connected computer.
Easy to integrate
Coditherm may be supplied as printing head or pre-fitted on a desk support with sliding device and guards for semi-automatic operation. It is suitable for replacing hot or pad printing. No particular changes to the packaging machine are needed.
A wide range of substrates
Coditherm may be used for printing on surfaces with very different compositions and features, such as plastic, smooth wood, smooth leather, fabric or thick coats of paint on metal.
The following versions of CODITHERM are available:
- FLAT- for printing on flat or slightly shaped surfaces.
- I-ROLLER - for printing on flat or slightly shaped surfaces, specific for tougher applications in which high energy is needed (high energy or high print rate).
- ROUND - for printing on round or slightly conical objects.
- PAD - for very small printing on flat surfaces.
- H-PAD - for printing on flat surfaces, specific for recessed areas of plastic containers and boxes.
